“Just like a clover is determined to grow in unfavorable conditions and thrives in most circumstances, despite the obstacles, we believe our community embodies that same strength and resiliency,” Chimene Grant Saloy, president of Clover’s Board of Directors, said in a statement. Clover was chosen after an 18 month process and represents the "prosperity, peace, and power" they hope to offer participants, the agency said. It also pays homage to the Irish Channel neighborhood, where the group was established in 1896.

There is also one commercial space that is currently vacant. Since 1896, the state-certified and nationally accredited nonprofit has provided southeast Louisiana with programs and services for infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, youth, parents, senior citizens, veterans, and “medically fragile” adults. On Sept. 27, Kingsley House’s program participants, staff, board, senior leadership, elected officials, and community leaders gathered to celebrate as the organization revealed its new name at an event held at the organization’s historic campus in the Lower Garden District. Among current offerings are an adult day care and a workforce development program.

The organization’s namesake, Charles Kingsley, a British priest, historian, and author, held racist viewpoints. After uncovering uncovering some of Kingsley’s racist writings and sermons, ideals that are inconsistent with the core values of the organization, board leaders decided a name change was in order. Board leadership proactively decided to retire the name Kingsley House in the fall of 2020 upon learning that the organization’s namesake, Charles Kingsley, a British priest, historian, and author, held racist viewpoints. While researching for the organization’s 125th anniversary, staff uncovered writings and sermons of Kingsley’s that proved to be utterly inconsistent with the core values and mission of the organization. The new name also reflects the organization’s powerful, emotional, and impactful work and historic roots in the Irish Channel, where the agency was established in 1896. KANSAS CITY, Mo. Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the completion of a $36 million rehabilitation of Kingsley House, an affordable housing development for seniors in the City of White Plains. The renovations at the Mitchell-Lama complex upgraded apartment amenities and will improve the building's safety, promote energy efficiency, and enhance the quality of life for 163 senior households. The agency’s board of directors announced the retirement of the Kingsley House name in early 2021 and worked with participants, staff, community stakeholders, alumni and leadership team to select a new name that would reflect our values and vision for the children, families, and community we serve.

After 18 months of that intentional, inclusive process, we are honored to share that we have chosen a name that symbolizes renewal, hope and prosperity. The renovation of Kingsley House complements Governor Hochul's plan to make housing across New York State more affordable, equitable, and stable. In the FY 2023 State Budget, the Governor introduced and successfully secured a new $25 billion, five-year, comprehensive housing plan that will increase housing supply by creating or preserving 100,000 affordable homes across New York including 10,000 with support services for vulnerable populations, plus the electrification of an additional 50,000 homes. Today's announcement builds on the Governor's efforts to make housing more affordable for New York's seniors. Earlier this month, the Governor signed a package of legislation expanding tax relief for homeowners, particularly those 60 and over. In the past year, the state has announced the creation of over 1,400 units of senior housing.

And these are just some of the desires we have for our participants – prosperity, peace, and power. The median income for a household in the city was $56,111, and the median income for a family was $63,750. Males had a median income of $43,542 versus $36,875 for females.

About 1.8% of families and 3.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.5% of those under age 18 and 10.4% of those age 65 or over. State financing for the project included $13.9 million in permanent tax-exempt bonds, Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits that generated $10.5 million in equity, and $2.4 million in subsidy from New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Kingsley House was constructed in 1968 under the New York State Mitchell-Lama Program, which provides housing to low- and moderate-income residents across the state. New York State works with owners as they near the end of affordability requirements to provide low-cost financing tools that help maintain and improve the developments while also extending their affordability. Clover will continue to offer the same high-quality, comprehensive programs and services. In fact, we feel the change reflects how we've grown - and will continue to grow - to better serve our families.

It's a lifestyle change, so turn every day into an opportunity to get fit and have fun together. Charles Kingsley was a respected British clergyman, author and social reformer – but Kingsley House researchers found documents of his espousing racist viewpoints while preparing for the organization’s 125th anniversary. Board leadership decided to retire the name Kingsley House in the fall of 2020 after discovering racist views in documents written by Charles Kingsley, the organization’s namesake.

Russia-Ukraine war

As rhetoric on Taiwan has heated up, other countries such as Australia and Japan have grown wary of Beijing’s aggression and looked to bolster their own defense capabilities. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken is starting three days of talks with senior Chinese officials in Shanghai and Beijing this week as U.S.-China ties are at a critical point over numerous global disputes. The latest initiative builds upon the trade war that Trump launched in 2018, implementing 25% duties on billions of dollars of imports from China, such as cars, metals and machinery.

The world holds its breath when there’s an earthquake in Taiwan. This company is why

While the U.S. says it has no evidence China is arming Russia, officials say other activities are potentially equally problematic. U.S. officials say this will be a primary topic of conversation during Blinken’s visit. Blinken “will raise clearly and candidly our concerns” during the talks starting Wednesday, a senior State Department official said. Commentators from Chinese state and social media have criticized both candidates as indicative of the flaws of democracy and America’s decline.

It is a reminder that despite political tensions, there are still close cultural and economic links between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, says GeorgeYin, distinguished research fellow at the National Taiwan University in Taipei. The "unwavering support," Tsai said, "reassures the people of Taiwan that we are not isolated, we are not alone." As the more capricious politician, Trump might undermine such alliances, providing a vacuum for Beijing to step in and strengthen ties with U.S.-friendly nations. However, his impulsive tendencies could trigger a rapid deterioration of the relationship between China and the United States. With mistrust between the two nations deepening, both President Biden and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump have sought to cast themselves as hard-line negotiators who will stand tough against China’s rise. Last month, Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan forced the world to notice the precariousness of the island’s existence. On Wednesday, China launched a three-day inspection of cargo and construction ships in the Taiwan Strait, according to the Fujian Maritime Affairs WeChat account. Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council called the operation a violation of maritime practices and an escalation of cross-strait tensions, and is prepared to take countermeasures. Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Mao Ning said Tuesday that China firmly opposed the meeting. An April commentary from China’s official state news agency said money, rather than voters, would ultimately decide the next U.S. president. That shift began with President Obama’s efforts to establish stronger economic and diplomatic ties in Asia, spurred by growing unease with Beijing’s military assertiveness, as well as complaints that Chinese competitors were unfairly squeezing out U.S. companies, Hung said. A flood of cheap Chinese electric car exports has raised the specter of another trade war with the U.S.

From O.C. church shooting to Pelosi’s visit — what it’s like to be Taiwanese American right now

The Biden administration has grown increasingly concerned in recent months about Chinese support for Russia’s defense industrial base, which U.S. officials say is allowing Moscow to overcome Western sanctions imposed after its invasion of Ukraine and resupply its military. The U.S. has warned China against providing aid to Russia in its war with Ukraine, and has considered sanctioning Chinese banks to deter support, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken is expected to discuss Ukraine among other disputes during a visit to China this week, and issued a warning ahead of his arrival. U.S. officials also have become more wary of Chinese software and the security risks it poses for U.S. users. On Wednesday, Biden signed into law a measure that would either ban or force a sale of the Chinese-owned short video app TikTok.

The arrangement was largely seen as an attempt to make the encounter more palatable than Pelosi’s trip and avoid stoking further hostility across the Taiwan Strait. Rep. Ro Khanna is heading this weekend to the self-ruled island claimed by China. The KMT has also argued that it is better suited to manage relationships with both Beijing and Washington, given the party’s friendlier stance toward China and potential unification. While the KMT won a sweeping victory in local elections in November, a growing mistrust of Beijing has weighed on the party’s appeal in the last few presidential elections, particularly among young voters. While a growing segment of Taiwan views the Chinese Communist Party unfavorably and identifies solely as Taiwanese, the vast majority of the island’s 23 million people prefer to keep the status quo, over independence from or unification with China.

Some examples include Taipa Village area–with Portuguese, Macanese and Asian restaurants such as IN Portuguese Food, Tapas de Portugal, La Famiglia, Barcelona Macau or Goa Nights–but also coffee houses like Rooftop and Quarter Square, and other historical sites. From the Taipa Houses-Museum one can also walk and visit the Camões statue set in Carmo garden, Our Lady of Carmo Church and also swim at the Carmo Swimming Pool. In particular, the U.S. has voiced objections to what it says are Chinese attempts to thwart legitimate maritime activities by others in the sea, notably the Philippines and Vietnam. That was a major topic of concern this month when Biden held a three-way summit with the prime minister of Japan and the president of the Philippines. The U.S. has strongly condemned Chinese military exercises threatening Taiwan, which Beijing regards as a renegade province and has vowed to reunify with the mainland by force if necessary. Successive U.S. administrations have steadily boosted military support and sales for Taipei, much to Chinese anger.

Last summer, China conducted unprecedented military exercises around Taiwan following former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's controversial visit to the island. Ahead of Tsai's visit to California, China labeled her planned meeting with McCarthy as a "provocation" and threatened "countermeasures" should the meeting go ahead. On Saturday, China's People's Liberation Army began live-fire joint force training exercises for its air force, navy and ground forces. They are now one of the most visited places in town, not only because of their architecture, but also the surroundings and close by landmarks, dining spots and other popular sites.

Some who grew up in the U.S. realized they needed to learn more themselves before answering friends’ questions. One contestant, Tiffany Chang, highlighted Taiwan’s vaunted semiconductor industry and a democratic government that provides universal healthcare and has legalized same-sex marriage. Previously she was a reporter with the Wall Street Journal in New York, Beijing and Taipei, covering a broad range of topics including financial markets, tech companies, New York City and the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Born and raised in Iowa, she graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

In February, Trump threatened to raise tariffs on Chinese imports to 60% or more if he became president again. Opinions on how best to do so are deeply divided between Tsai’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party, or DPP, and Ma’s historically dominant Nationalist Party, also known as the Kuomintang, or KMT. The DPP favors a closer relationship with the U.S. over China, though critics say that could provoke Beijing’s ire and doesn’t guarantee military assistance. The KMT believes that warmer ties with Beijing are crucial to preserving peace, but its detractors are wary of becoming too cozy with an authoritarian government. For decades, Washington has adhered to what is known as the one-China policy, which acknowledges but does not recognize China’s territorial claim. The U.S. is also obligated to sell Taiwan arms to defend itself, but has not committed to sending military assistance in the event of an attack.

The Biden administration has made some efforts to improve frayed ties with China. In November, Biden and President Xi Jinping met in Silicon Valley and agreed to restart military-to-military communications, which China suspended in retaliation for then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in 2022. Analysts said the pact was critical in preventing flare-ups from becoming broader conflicts. In August, Beijing launched an unprecedented series of military drills around the island, including sending missiles, warplanes and warships, in retaliation after outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) visited Taipei and met with Tsai.

She wondered whether Pelosi was angling for publicity rather than trying to help Taiwan. Still, China’s military response may likely be more restrained than it was in August, analysts said. Actions that exceed those drills could further antagonize Taiwanese people ahead of the presidential election, as well as undermine China’s attempts to position itself as a stable and reliable diplomatic partner to other countries. Wednesday’s meeting between Tsai and McCarthy (R-Bakersfield), at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, came during a U.S. stopover after the Taiwanese leader’s 10-day trip through New York, Guatemala and Belize.

That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future. As Tsai began her visit to Central and North America last week, her predecessor, Taiwan's former President Ma Ying-jeoh, was wrapping up a tour of various Chinese cities — the first time ever that a retired or former Taiwanese leader has visited mainland China. While a China trip by the former president holds less political sway, Ma’s actions could help the party gauge Taiwanese voters’ appetite for closer ties with Beijing ahead of next year’s election. Though the Tsai administration has deepened its partnership with the U.S., the KMT might try to capitalize on doubts over the U.S. commitment to defending Taiwan, analysts said. Relations have deteriorated to their lowest level in decades as the two countries vie for the upper hand in technological, economic and political influence.

The approach, known as strategic ambiguity, is meant to deter China from launching a military assault and Taiwan from declaring independence. But Beijing’s crumbling relationship with both Taipei and Washington has raised the specter of military conflict over the next few years. Anticipating further expansion in Southern California in the coming years, Bafang established its North American headquarters in Irvine, along with its central kitchen. Growing the number of restaurants in the region is a priority for Bafang, particularly in Los Angeles and Orange counties, says Peng. Though Peng wouldn’t reveal how many additional restaurants are in the works or where they’ll be located exactly, she says that franchise opportunities will be available starting in 2023. Jiayu Lin founded the original Bafang Dumpling in 1998 in the Tianmu neighborhood of Taipei. A popular franchising program allowed the restaurant to rapidly increase its presence across Taiwan and China – Bafang arrived in Hong Kong in 2008 and mainland China in 2014. “The founder always valued giving people the opportunity to be a small business owner,” says Peng.

An April report from the London-based Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a research organization, identified a network of Chinese government-linked social media accounts impersonating Trump supporters and propagating criticisms of Biden. Now, “the only difference between different presidents would be the details and approaches of how they implement the toughening policy,” he said. “If China purports on the one hand to want good relations with Europe and other countries, it can’t on the other hand be fueling what is the biggest threat to European security since the end of the Cold War,” Blinken said Friday. Last week, Biden called for the tripling of tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from China to combat what he described as “unfair trade practices,” and a flood of cheap, low-quality products that have distorted the U.S. market.

The simultaneous visits to rival superpowers by Taiwanese presidents past and present underscore the increasing precariousness of peace on the democratically ruled island, and the uncertain path to maintaining it as relations between China, the U.S. and Taiwan have grown strained. Among the Democratic and Republican officials present were Wisconsin Republican Mike Gallagher and Illinois Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi, co-chairs of a new House select committee that focuses on China. SIMI VALLEY, Calif., and TAIPEI — Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen vowed Wednesday to "defend the peaceful status quo" in which the people of Taiwan can continue to thrive in a free and open society. Her remarks came after a meeting with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy that Beijing had warned against.

At the center of the growing hostility is Taiwan, which Beijing considers a part of China and has vowed to retake, by force if necessary. Bafang’s menu of potstickers, ingot-shaped dumplings, bouncy “QQ” noodles, and soy milk-based drinks — all offered at wallet-friendly prices — have attracted thousands of diners since opening on March 25, with lines often winding outside the restaurant’s door. A combination meal that includes a deep-fried pork chop, a serving of “Old Fashioned” soy sauce and shallot noodles, and iced tea rings in at $14, while a dozen of the restaurant’s best-selling pork potstickers are priced at a reasonable $8.75. Bafang is committed to affordability, Peng says, to compete with national chains like Chipotle and In-N-Out, and to better serve cash-strapped diners facing increased inflation and the still-lingering effects of the pandemic. For Taiwan, Tsai's stop in California and her meeting with McCarthy serve as reassurance that the U.S. — by far the island's most important partner, even though it does not officially recognize Taipei — remains firmly supportive of the island. But some analysts see the California meeting as an effort to tame Beijing's temper — since it is not taking place in Taipei, which was what McCarthy had originally proposed.

“In our efforts to protect our way of life, Taiwan is grateful to have the United States of America by our side,” she said Wednesday in a news conference with McCarthy. Back lit image of the silhouette of a woman with her hands pressed against a glass window. Abandoned old haunted house at night with fog around it. If Henry’s story were elaborated in dialogue, it would have trouble escaping sentimentality. But it’s the universal pattern, the way Henry’s experience echoes our own, that transcends the handling of specific plot points. The spirit of Halloween spreads across the village, and the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride accompanies a haunted house in the mortuary.

Light displays and musical shows started on September 20, 2022 and runs through Halloween at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. Burbank just might be Halloween central in Los Angeles. With so many studios located here, this has long been the home of the people who make the magic happen behind the cameras. And during the Halloween season, they tend to bring that magic home and set it up on their lawns. Cruise around in your car, and when you see a great neighborhood, park and explore on foot.

Halloween is upon us and is time to leave the trick-or-treating to the kids. This Halloween leave your lair to roam the streets and clubs of San Diego and have a ball at the wickedest Halloween parties in town. Avid hikers will recognize this spot as the Sam Merrill trailhead, “a quiet refuge from people and wild life forever”—so reads the dedication on the cobblestone gate of the Cobb Estate. The Pantages is also host to a female presence who died during a show in 1932. When charmed businessman Howard Hughes owned the infamous Pantages Theatre, he built a door that connected his office directly to one of the theater balconies, where he would go to think in the dark.

Here’s your handy guide to the 13 most haunted places in L.A., including a Hollywood theater, a notorious Downtown hotel and a Long Beach oceanliner where ghosts of the past still rattle a few chains. Saturdays in October and Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 6pm - 10pmThis haunt may require a little more of a drive, but this family has been producing yard haunts for decades and does it up in style. Bones Gulch was once known as The Dark Realm, but the attraction has moved to an LA County Jail property. Now, there are three different haunted attractions to explore.

The campfire setting, demarcated with lanterns, suggests a support group. The phrase “circle of grief” was my own silent articulation for this communal stopping ground. Personally, I was relieved not to bear witness to another forced marriage between script and score. When the book musical works — as it does gloriously this season in the revival of “Merrily We Roll Along” — there’s nothing more satisfying.

Lights and faucets are known to turn on and off on their own and the switchboard gets calls from vacant rooms. It’s not that this house is decorated for Halloween—the house itself is kind of a Halloween decoration! The house was built in the 1920s as a movie set, for films that include Hansel and Gretel. So this truly was built to look like a dilapidated Witch House. It’s Halloween and Los Angeles history rolled into one, and it’s a great place to see something naturally spooky. An eery light emanating from a haunted house in front of a full moon.

Shelby (Gaby Diaz), a mutual friend and Carl’s first love, who falls gravely ill. And Douglas (Ahmad Simmons), who sees and claims Henry’s adult heart with an acceptance that can seem strangely and even alarmingly miraculous. Other dancers hold illuminated orbs around Henry, reminding him of his spiritual presence. He is reluctant to spill his secrets, but it’s only a matter of time before he joins the others in unburdening his soul. Henry (Ricky Ubeda), a quirkily ordinary young man in shorts and a pink hat, seems to be on the run from painful memories. He and his journal have come to a clearing where others have gathered to share their stories.

Each figure suggests a unique background, but certain facets of being recur. The inherent difficulty of coming of age is shared in a piece that tracks the movement from innocence to experience. Time, ever afoot, makes it impossible for anyone to catch up. Yet racing through life can only continue for so long. Whether the piece — I hesitate to call this delicate hybrid a show — is more dance than musical is not all that important.

When moments of virtuosity explode, as happen when Byron Tittle unleashes a spectacular display of Olympian tap, the effect is a victory of spirit as much as it is of mortal flesh. The imagery conjures a supernatural patchwork of revenants and Superman. The content of these nightmares and obsessions doesn’t always resonate. Sometimes the feeling is fey; other times the literalization of song ideas flirts with corniness. But the intensity of the dancer’s relationship to the material speaks volumes. The 12-dancer company is highly individualized, distinct in presence and style of movement.

Before this popular Sunset Strip comedy club appeared on the scene in 1972, it was Ciro’s restaurant, one of Hollywood’s hippest clubs during the 1940s and ’50s. Its owners had a close affiliation with the mob and the building still has peepholes in the upper walls of the main room that once allowed mobsters to see who was coming and going. Mickey “The King of the Sunset Strip” Cohen used the club as his base of operations. “West Hollywood was a gangster-run place with gun fights in the streets,” says Carradine. “The basement of the club was where they would take care of problem people. There is still a hole in the stairway that fits a gun, to shoot anyone going up or downstairs.” Carradine says employees have claimed to hear voices, cries and even snarls coming from the basement.

Knotts Spooky Farm is a spooky–not scary–event with haunted house attractions and a pumpkin patch for kids. As the days grow shorter and the weather grows cooler, ghosts, ghouls and specters of all sorts arise for their annual supernatural sojourns.

From haunted houses, hay rides, spook walks, theaters and plays, and other attractions for the Halloween season, there's is scary fun to enjoy for everyone. The Silent Movie Theatre (formerly home to Cinefamily, now Brain Dead Studios) has a complicated history worthy of a blockbuster drama. The original owner, John Hampton, started the theater in 1942, showing his personal film collection at a time when most studios were destroying old silent prints. Hampton used toxic chemicals in his bathtub above the theater to preserve his films—unwittingly exposing himself to toxins that hastened his demise in 1990 from cancer.

Hughes’s ghost is a notorious workaholic, and is said to be seen in his former office on the second floor. An enchanting display of ghostly gourds and ghouls awaits visitors at this residence in Riverside. The whimsical setup has been lighting up Glenhaven Avenue since mid-September and will continue to do so until November 1, 2022.

Cityscape—the perfect vantage point for resting souls. Pull up a barstool next to the phantom of a former bartender who has been spotted around the bar. The restaurant also serves as the perfect backdrop for events and weddings, if you don’t mind a little company in the bridal suite. “There have been sounds of a crying bride; and a woman in white has been seen up there,” Carradine says. Legend has it that the ashes of former property owner, Thomas O. Glover, are buried in the inner garden courtyard and that he still watches over his property. Rumors abound about silhouettes of a man and woman seen strolling the family-owned property and the unexplainable sounds of crashing plates (and you thought that was just a clumsy waiter).

With one of the newest ghosts,” he says about Bennett, who still watches over his beloved underground watering hole. There were several cute options but I ended up choosing this one.

Halloween event list including haunted houses, corn mazes, hayrides, spookwalks, home haunts, and more. It’s, without a doubt, one of the scariest and best-haunted houses of all the LA Halloween attractions. Zombie Joe’s in North Hollywood is among those Los Angeles haunted houses for adults that don’t hold back on the immersive horror front. Each year, they take on a new, multisensory theme– all equally terrifying. Since it’s rare to find a haunted house in Los Angeles where they can touch you, this is a unique experience where you’ll be fully and physically immersed. The Queen Mary certainly has a past that’s ripe for modern-day hauntings.

“She saw his body lying there and hasn’t been back since.” Austin’s ghost is said to still haunt the lobby; and Hampton’s ghost can be heard roaming the second floor, where he once lived. Call us old-fashioned, but we like our haunted places in L.A. We’re not talking about manufactured scares at haunted houses; we searched the spookiest nabes for horror hot spots—and consulted our friends over at Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles (GHOULA). Founder Richard Carradine has been collecting tales of L.A.

October 1-31, 2022 from 7pm - 12amA coven of evil witches is seeking to satisfy their spells and may even attempt to cast a hex on passersby at this elaborate yard display. Plate racks and hanging shelf units took up less room than freestanding hutches and sideboards. This piece’s graceful arch, curved brackets, and beadboard back are traditional touches; the cubby organizer updates it for today. Well crafted and practical, period-look woodwork, fixtures, fittings, and hardware add a personal touch—and a sense of history—to informal spaces. This beadboard wainscot is capped with a flat rail that acts as a shelf for toiletries, keeping them within easy reach.

This space features an old distressed cupboard. It is decorated with a container of daisies and a blue and white bowl full of red apples. The only decor is the two plants in white planters and a painting hanging above the toilet. There is a collection of cutting boards on the wall and greenery on the table. This dining arrangement is much like the first one. Wicker chairs mixed with wood chairs and a simple rustic dining table.

I want to have this overall feeling in my own home. A cozy minimalist room adds just enough personality without being overpowering. This bathroom with its aqua and white colors is certainly whimsical. Yet it doesn’t have much decor dotting the surfaces. This kitchen ticks off all the boxes in terms of current style and trends.

Running the entire height of the walls, as well as up the banquette, it’s still an eye-catching, easy-care surface for a busy dining nook. Stacked twin beds get a character boost from an arched enclosure. This pair is finished with wood paneling and white paint that tie in with the rest of the room. Books find a home on shelves at the head of each bed; extra linens hide in the lower bunk’s deep drawers. Even the simplest built-in can add a big dose of personality in a snug space. Here, a writing surface made from wall cleats and 2 boards spans a tight spot in an attic, turning a low-clearance corner into a light-filled workstation with a view.

I have lived in some houses or apartments that were just downright ugly. But I was determined not to leave it that way. Come join in and see what all the buzz is about. (It’s kind of mundane here sometimes because I am a homebody, but I try to put a little kick in every post). Obviously the first two photos below are of on me different days I shaved my head.
